84% of Gapyeong County is mountainous and no matter where you go, you can enjoy well-forested woodlands.
In particular, over 70% of the forests are composed of Korean White Pine forests making it much more grandiose.
You can image how much there are since 40% of all domestically produced pine nuts are from Gapyeong County .
The forest at Chuknyeongsan (Mt.) is located at the 4km marker of Route 37 (Imcho-ri) and is a forest resort that spans across a total of 4.356km 2 and consists of 30 to 50 year old Korean White Pines. At the base of the 879m above sea level Chuknyeongsan is also located the Chaejongrim Forest , which is part of Gyeonggi-do.
Visitors can almost feel drunk from the scent of pine resin during the summer and the clear waters that flow in the valleys and the beautiful rocks are more than enough to take your breath away.
