Yeoninsan (Mt.) is located within the 1 day travel range from Seoul and holds a Royal Azalea Festival every year. Yeoninsan is the highest point of the origin of Yongchugugok and can be enjoyed by both men and women. It was called Mumyeongsan (meaning mountain of no name), which was covered with thorn-bushes that preserved the ardent love of Gilsu and Sojeong. But because people who visited the mountain wished that people would love and find companionship just like the couple that was famous here, the Gapyeong County Naming Commission named it Yeoninsan (Lover's Mountain) on March 15, 1999 .
The royal azalea of Yeoninsan grow naturally in colonies at 700m above sea level or higher and the higher you go up, the trees become thicker and the color of the flowers become more lovely. It blossoms at different times depending on the temperature, but they usually become in full blossom by mid or late May. Beautiful azalea colonies grown naturally along the Yeonin, Woojeong, Jangsu and Cheongpoong trails.
