Because Jarasum is flooded out when it rains heavily, it was an island that was basically left uninhibited. However, it became reborn as a beautiful island of jazz through the Jarasum International Jazz Festival. There are three types of stages: jazz stage, party stage and jazz island; where visitors can meet world renowned jazz musicians until early in the morning. Jarasum is an island where jazz melodies flow amidst green grass and blue skies and rivers, and it is a place to make beautiful memories with friends, families and lovers.
Information
Yumyeongsan (Mt) is a mountain with beautiful hiking trails and has rocks with assorted shapes, thick forests and abundant streams, resembling Seoraksan (Mt.). Yumyeongsan Festival has its theme based on hiking and folk music, making it a festival of music, mountains and autumn leaves. Besides folk music performances, there are various events such as Autumn Leaves Song Festival, Autumn Leaf Dying and Hiking competitions, offering attractions and entertainment to hikers.
